The following information has just been issued by Scottish Borders Council. It would be very much appreciated if you would share it with your community.
“Sent on behalf of David Robertson, Returning Officer:
You will be aware there is a national problem regarding the delivery of postal votes, with some voters still awaiting their postal packs.
In response, the Scottish Borders Council is to open a drop-in facility to allow postal voters who have a problem with, or have not yet received their postal pack, to pick up a pack in person. This will be set-up at Council Headquarters in Newtown St Boswells.
The facility will be open from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June.
Voters should come to the Council Headquarters in Newtown St Boswells, with photographic identification and proof of address, and a postal pack will be issued to them.
Only voters from Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk will be issued replacements. Any electors for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale should contact Dumfries and Galloway Council for a replacement.”
