Minutes from previous meeting were approved by all .
Planning Applications: No applications have been forwarded on to us, James did say that he has had issues regarding all councils being notified..
Mower: Mower will be returned to the supplier so the correct tyres can be fitted during the winter, once this has been done it will be stored again at Jimmy’s till the spring. We also received a donation from the Convenience Store for fuel. We must also thank Jimmy, Fenwick, Ian, Stuart and Janette for their hard work in keeping the village grass looking great.
Grants: Tyson received more funding for the Playball and this is ongoing, work should start soon, he is also planning a meeting with the school to discuss options etc.
Quarry: Information on this is available on the Common Good website
Grass: We are of the understanding that there are allocated hours available for the council to cut areas of the village, and due to many of these areas being done by the village volunteers these hours could be reclaimed and allocated to areas requiring cutting. We also have been asked if we can address the concerns of the overgrown orchard at the school as it is impossible to pick the fruit
Fundraising: We are to enquire about holding a quiz at the Waterloo in the future and to have a prize hamper in the CO-OP in the coming months.
Village Parking: Police report showed 2 issues of careless driving last month which they have dealt with. Agnes asked about the possibility of perhaps a zebra crossing or some form of road crossing in the centre of the village, Cllr Anderson did say that he has a few Community Councils asking the same question without a positive outcome. Cllr Anderson was under the impression there should be road stencils and safety bollards on the route to the school as this was agreed by SBC. Also mentioned was the car park at the football pitch and wondering if this could be marked differently to allow more spaces
Jim Clark: We have been asked if the route between the cemetery to the cross hill could be highlighted more or perhaps a Jim Clark trail map designed.
Treasurers Report: Bank statement was read out with £310.03 showing. Account statement will be presented to SBC after our Agm in doing this we can then apply for the support grant available to all Community Councils
