Welcome to the Chirnside Community Council website
The Council represents people living within Chirnside and the surrounding area.
The Chirnside Community Council was Disbanded following the AGM (May 2024) All accounts and assets of the council are now managed/operated by SBC. More details can be found on the CCC Disbanded Notice page
SBC will attempt to re-establish the Chirnside Community Council and elect new members following the summer break - more information to follow.

The Chirnside Community Council is here to represent the residents of Chirnside by ascertaining, co-ordinating and expressing your views to local and public authorities on matters which those authorities are responsible for. These include Scottish Borders Council services, planning applications, health, education and development.
The Community Council is non-party political and actively encourages the involvement of everyone in the community.

Community Council meetings are held on the fourth wednesday of the month - meetings are currently held in-person at the Chirnside Community Centre.
